DB2 Events is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic event manager to oversee promoting and coordinating the entity’s multiple spaces in historic downtown Quincy.
DB2’s Dick Brothers Brewery Complex, located on York Street between Ninth and Tenth, includes the Brew House, Stock House, Bottle House and The Ratskeller, which contains a new Bier Garden. The Brewery complex has been reborn into a thriving event space and museum home to everything from intimate company gatherings and fundraisers to weddings and large-scale street festivals, as well as everything in between.
We seek someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who takes initiative, is creative, organized and flexible on scheduling. The event manager works with those looking to book space within the brewery district and ensures a smooth process from inquiry to execution.
Our event manager will coordinate all inquiries, scheduling, planning, set-up and teardown. They will oversee a team, coordinating with The Ratskeller management, work with other vendors and suppliers, and help train staff. Our manager will also handle and execute all marketing communications and merchandise.
Job requirements include a customer-service oriented pleasant disposition, professional appearance, strong communication and negotiation skills, knack for problem solving, and demonstrated experience using simple graphic design applications. Being knowledgeable in wine and spirits, marketing and overall hospitality background is a plus.
