Annual Events at the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex
The Dick Brothers Brewery Complex is proud to carry forward Quincy’s German heritage through two signature annual events: MayFest, held the last Saturday of May, and Oktoberfest, held the last Saturday of September.
Both events bring the community together for live music, food, drinks, history, and plenty of gemütlichkeit, that warm German feeling of good cheer, good company, and belonging.
MayFest
Held annually on the last Saturday of May
Maifest is a traditional German spring celebration rooted in the joy of warmer weather, blooming flowers, music, dancing, and community gathering. In Germany, Maifest often marks the arrival of spring with maypoles, outdoor festivities, food, drink, and celebration in the streets.
At the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex, MayFest brings that spirit to life with a Quincy twist. Brought to you by the local businesses in the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex and hosted by The Ratskeller and Dick Brothers Events, MayFest is a can’t-miss celebration of local music, German-inspired fun, craft drinks, food, tunnel tours, and activities throughout the historic brewery grounds.
For the Quincy region, MayFest is the perfect kickoff to summer and a chance to enjoy local talent, support local businesses, explore one of Quincy’s most iconic historic places, and of course raise a stein to the season.
Oktoberfest
Held annually on the last Saturday of September
Oktoberfest began in Munich, Germany in 1810 as a royal wedding celebration and grew into one of the world’s most famous festivals, known for beer, music, food, dancing, and community celebration. Today, Oktoberfest traditions continue around the world, bringing people together to celebrate German culture and hospitality.
At the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex, Oktoberfest is one of Quincy’s favorite fall traditions. Hosted in partnership with Quincy’s Rotary Club, this annual celebration honors the city’s strong German roots with live music, great food, cold drinks, 0.2k Beer and Brat Dash (you read that right!) and plenty of festive spirit.
Set against the backdrop of the historic Dick Brothers Brewery, Oktoberfest gives guests the chance to experience Quincy’s brewing heritage in the very place where it all happened. From the biergarten atmosphere to the music, tours, and community gathering, this event is a must-attend celebration for anyone who loves history, local flavor, and a good prost with friends and funds for Quincy’s Rotary Club.
