MayFest Music Festival at Dick Brothers Brewery

MayFest is back—a little smaller, a lot louder—and fully focused on celebrating local live music at the historic Dick Brothers Brewery Complex.

Join us at the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex on Saturday, May 30th for a full day of live music, cold bier, and laid-back MayFest vibes from 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.!

The event continues a tradition of celebrating Quincy’s German Heritage and pays homage to the Brewery’s History. MayFest is a family-friendly sister event to Oktoberfest held in the fall with a focus on local live music and craft beer.

Mayfest (or Maifest in Germany) is the traditional German celebration of the arrival of spring. Mayfest is still celebrated throughout Germany with the maibaum (maypole) decorated to show off the history and crafts of the town. Mayfest, similar to Oktoberfest, has now become a popular celebration throughout the world.

Remember & Celebrate

Ed Foundation

This year’s event will also remember fellow craft beer enthusiast, Ed Simbol who passed away suddenly in 2022. Ed was a consultant for The Ratskeller bar in Quincy and was working to open his own concept inside the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex.

Ed was also an IL small business owner of Bigby’s Pour House (Addison & Rolling Meadows) and Ed’s Basement (St. Charles). Funds raised will go towards his foundation, which aims to lower financial barriers for starting and growing entrepreneurs.
